SAULSBURY
Lakewood, Colorado Working with a developer to provide two
sets of four unit townhomes on a site with stunning
western views to the mountain. The site itself
sits within a few blocks of a light rail station,
the initial concept sought to take advantage of the
views and also create a sophisticated modern urban
feel. On a relatively narrow site for four
side by side units, each unit has a width of twenty
feet, with a total square footage of 1,650 SF.
With these constraints in mind a program was
developed with a study, restroom and garage on
the main level; living/entertaining, a kitchen and
an outdoor balcony on the second level;private
bedrooms on the third level and finally roof top
decks to allow for the enjoyment of outdoor Colorado
living and entertaining. Large expanses of
glass take advantage of the distant views, the city
skyline to the east and the mountains to the west.
